The extra mile

Wildwood PR has joined forces with client Crestron and AV magazine to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Team is running 8.2 miles in the famous ASICS Run Kingston Running festival taking place on Sunday 12 October 2008.

Team competitors include Account Director, John Houston and Junior Account Executive, Maria Laaksonen from Wildwood, Petra van Meeuwen, Phil Solomons and Greg Currie from Crestron and AV Magazine’s Cramer Rice.

John, who completed the London Marathon in 2002, is looking forward to the event. “It’s always enjoyable to complete a run, but when you are taking part on behalf of a charity, it’s a completely different feeling.”

For Maria, a keen though less experienced athlete, this will be her first major endurance race.

The ASICS RunKingston Running festival takes place in the centre of Kingston, with the course following the Thames before turning back towards the old market place where it finishes.

Wildwood, Crestron and AV Magazine are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support to improve the lives of those affected with cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support offers medical, practical, emotional and financial support and is regarded as a life line for those suffering from the disease and for their families.
