CIPR Awards shortlist Wildwood

Wildwood PR has made the final shortlist in the celebrated CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) PRide Awards which recognise public relations success and achievement in the nation and regions.

Wildwood PR’s campaign to promote the 2007 CEDIA Awards, on behalf of its client CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association), has been selected for the shortlist in the PRide Awards’ Best Low Budget Campaign category for the Home Counties South and Wessex region.

CEDIA is the trade organisation for the home electronics and systems integration industry. CEDIA members specialise in the planning, design, supply, installation, integration, concealment and control of automated electronic systems for the modern, intelligent home. They install anything from multi-room audio systems and home cinemas to complete home networks that intelligently control lighting, security, heating and air conditioning. Wildwood developed the CEDIA Awards – an industry awards scheme to celebrate and reward excellence amongst these members, with the ultimate aim of publicising the best entries within consumer and trade media. The resulting PR campaign has generated prime editorial coverage in major consumer publications Home Cinema Choice and Homebuilding & Renovating, amongst others, plus extensive reviews for CEDIA Award-winning smart homes in The Sunday Times.

“Reaching the final shortlist is proof that our work has been judged amongst the best in the UK” comments Wildwood PR’s Director, Jeff Hayward. “It’s a great morale booster for everyone at the company, and fantastic recognition for the hard work and creativity we put in to everything we do. It also proves the value of our focus on generating a measurable return on investment for our clients”.

“To reach the PRide Awards shortlist is a remarkable achievement as year on year the quality of entries increases and competition gets stronger” says Colin Farrington, CIPR Director General and Chairman of the Judges. “The finalists are testament to the good PR work going on outside London and across the sectors. They should feel proud of their and their chosen profession’s invaluable contribution to business and society”.

Eleven regions participate in the PRide Awards which attracted 1456 entries this year. The judging process is rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the medallists. Winners will be announced at a black tie awards event held at the Thistle Hotel in Brighton on Wednesday 21st November.
