Awards success

Wildwood has secured two prestigious accolades in the annual CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) PRide Awards scheme which recognises public relations success and excellence across the Home Counties and the South.

In a special gala presentation evening held at the Thistle Hotel, Brighton on Friday 31st October, Wildwood achieved Silver Awards in the Best Event and Best Publication categories for its work on behalf of clients Cathedral Healthcare and CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association).

“To claim these Awards is a tremendous achievement,” says Jeff Hayward, Director at Wildwood. “A CIPR PRide Award is a hallmark of professionalism and success, marking the best in our profession out from the crowd. As a small, but growing agency, it sets us apart from our competitors and shows that we’re putting West Sussex firmly on the map as a centre of public relations excellence.”

For Cathedral Healthcare, Wildwood handled the official opening in March 2008 of Handcross’s new Dumbledore Primary Care Centre. Led by guest of honour, Nicholas Soames, MP, the event succeeded in both celebrating the Centre’s unique community spirit and promoting Cathedral Healthcare as a responsible developer. In addition to winning the Silver Award in the Best Event category, this campaign was also a finalist in the Best Low Budget Campaign section of the PRide Awards.

Meanwhile, in the Best Publication category Wildwood entered its CEDIA Guide to the Integrated Home. This glossy publication provided architects, interior designers, house builders and affluent home owners with a comprehensive, informative and highly readable guide to the world of the CEDIA electronic system professional. Wildwood’s “award-winning smart homes” campaign, celebrating the CEDIA Awards 2008, also reached the final of the PRride Awards Best Event category.

This awards success follows on from the company’s achievement earlier this year when it received two ‘highly commended’ awards for Business of the Year and Best Environmental Initiative in the West Sussex County Times (WSCT) Business Awards. Wildwood is also looking forward to national recognition in the Construction Marketing Awards when the winners are announced later this month. Here, its Lo-Carbon campaign for Sussex-based ventilation company, Vent-Axia, is short-listed in the highly competitive Best Use of PR category.
